WHO WOULD ENJOY THIS CLASS

This class is great for folks who are curious about current evidence-based health care options, and how they show up (or don’t show up) in their chosen birth environment. This class will also equip families with knowledge about the stages and phases of labor and birth, along with how they can influence their birth outcomes through engaged decision-making through pregnancy and labor. Folks who learn through watching videos would thrive in this class, as instruction is offered in recorded videos, while the weekly class sessions are reserved to allow for individual questions and collective understanding through your small group discussions. The class also offers statistics for Chicago locations and outcomes, and insight from an experienced doula and EBB® instructor, Carly Ann Braun.

WHAT MAKES THIS CLASS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CHILDBIRTH CLASSES

This 6-week class is an engaging, friendly, and evidence-based series that is partner-focused, connective with other pregnant families, and hosted in a flipped-classroom setting. You will be given readings and video content developed by Evidence Based Birth® to dive deep into between sessions and then participate in group exploration and mentorship with experienced doula/EBB Instructor®, Carly Ann Braun, each week.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR THIS CLASS

You will need an internet connection and access to the ZOOM video conferencing app to participate in conversations. You will be mailed a workbook upon registration, and you will use that week to week.
